Holy skankdizzle!

April 9?! That's a long time ago. Lot's has changed...well, not really. I'm still a college student, still set to graduate in May of 2010, still single (not as miserable though), still fabulous (yes I am and fuck you if you disagree!), and still loving anything with a penis.

Life is good.

Long time gone...the Dixie Chicks should be proud...

So, if you caught my musical reference in the subject line...good for you! Two points AND a gold star in your column.

It's been forever and a day (give or take a few hours) since I last updated this thing. Of course...it could be that I'm busy acing my classes, seeking interviews, and desperately (failing at) trying to find love.

Deal with it.

Where you at?

It is a rare occasion that a company or service can get under my skin so much that my blood boils and my inner lawyer comes to the surface.

However, in my recent and short dealings with the Boost Mobile service offered by Sprint, I have discovered an inner well-spring of hatred that can be focused toward a single entity.

Eight days. Eight days of shoddy service was all it took for me to return a cellular phone, cancel a service plan, and write off an entire network.

Now, in attempting to get the refund of the prepaid service fee, I've received directly conflicting and contradictory of how I'll receive said refund...which I promise will be received regardless of what the imbecile said via email.

The following paragraph is a direct copy of the transmission to Boost Mobile after receiving the email saying that not only was my account still active but that since the service was prepaid, I would not be receiving a refund.

"My complaint is multi-fold. Item one, Sprint/Boost needs to train their in-store associates on the horrid nature of the Boost plan servicing. In returning my phone, I was told that I would receive a corporate check for the remaining days of my prepaid service. Item two, I want a direct line to someone in charge of customer service with this company. The phone system is useless for the redress of complaints and email is vastly inadequate for the feelings I have to express for this company. Item three, if I was told inaccurately of the refundability of my prepaid service fee or cannot reach a customer service manager via the telephone, I need to know the account number and any other identifying information beyond my name, former cell phone number, and pin number associated with this program."

I'll keep you updated as to the processing of my return and exactly how far Boost/Sprint makes me climb their crumbling corporate ladder.

In answer the ever-annoying query "where you at?" I offer the following answer:

"No where I can be reached since I use Boost mobile"

It's a happy weekend ahead!

Well, he finally set a date! I'll be meeting a man who may be THE man this Saturday. I get to visit Austin for the first time to boot. Look at me go with my bad self!! Be prepared readers...come Monday when I update again, I may be more depressed than you've ever seen me...or ludicrously happy.

UPDATE: Depressed? No. Ludicrously happy? Not about this joker. ;)

Song of the Week...Mary J Blige "Just Fine"

"Just Fine"

[Spoken:]
You know I love music
And every time I hear something hot
It makes me wanna move
It makes me wanna have fun
But it's something about this joint right here
This joint right here
Its makes me wanna... Woooh

[Verse1:]
Let it go...
Can't let this thing called love get away from you
Feel free right now, going do what you want to do
Can't let nobody take it away, from you, from me, from we
No time for moping around, are you kidding?
And no time for negative vibes, cause I'm winning
It's been a long week, I put in my hardest
Gonna live my life, feels so good to get it right

[Pre-Chorus:]
So I like what I see when I'm looking at me
When I'm walking past the mirror
No stress through the night, at a time in my life
Ain't worried about if you feel it
Got my head on straight, I got my vibe right
I aint gonna let you kill it
You see I wouldn't change my life, my life's just...

[Chorus:]
Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
Just fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
You see I wouldn't change my life, my life's just fine

]Verse2:]
Feels so good, when you're doing all the things that you want to do
Get the best out of life, treat yourself to something new
Keep your head up high
In yourself, believe in you, believe in me
Having a really good time, I'm not complaining
And I'm a still wear a smile if it raining
I got to enjoy myself regardless
I appreciate life, I'm so glad I got mine

[Pre-Chorus:]
So I like what I see when I'm looking at me
When I'm walking past the mirror
Aint worried about you and what you gonna do
I'm a lady so I must stay classy
Got to keep it hot, keep it together
If I want to get better
You see I wouldn't change my life, my life's just...

[Chorus:]
Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
Just fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
You see I won't change my life, my life's just fine

[Bridge:]
I aint gon' let nothing get in my way
(I ain't gone let nobody bring me down, no, no, no)
No matter what nobody has to say
(No way, no way, no way)
I ain't gon' let nothing get in my way
No matter what nobody has to say

{Pre-Chorus 2:]
Feels so good, when you're doing all the things that you want to do
Get the best out of life, treat yourself to something new
It's a really good thing to say
That I won't change my life, my life's just fine

[Chorus:]
Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
Just fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
You see I won't change my life, my life's just fine

[Pre-Chorus:]
So I like what I see when I'm looking at me
When I'm walking past the mirror
No stress through the night, at a time in my life
Ain't worried about if you feel it
Got my head on straight, I got my vibe right
I ain't gonna let you kill it
You see I wouldn't change my life, my life's just...

[Chorus:]
Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
Fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
Just fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, fine, ooooh
You see I wouldn't change my life, my life's just fine

New week of class

So, I survived the first week of class...

It's only two days a week, I know. But nine hours of lecture in a day requiring sixteen hours of being out of my home is a lot. However, this temporary pain is quite voluntary. The faster I get through coursework in spring and summer, the lighter my load in the fall will be...a mercy from all standpoints.

Perhaps though, I've bitten off more than I can chew with this term. Time will tell. I just hope I can keep the A's up. Just for my own needs, I have to finish with a 4.0 "Major" GPA and in doing so, will need to graduate "cum laude"...HA HA HA I said cum...

Yeah for the 20th!

While today will be remembered more for the day that President-Elect Obama was sworn in to office, I choose to remember today for being the day I (finally) got my rear into gear and back into school. I am now less than eleven months from graduation and look with a renewed sense of hope at the life sprawling out before me. If the Mayans, Nostradamus, and the myriad other psychics, mystics and prognosticators are right, and December 2012 is the end of the world, so be it. It's going to have been a hell of a ride and I'm going to smile every day until Underverse come!

The (Next) Final Frontier

So, back to classes on Tuesday I go. I'm super-excited and totally geared up about it.

Problem 1: Sallie Mae is a total bitch. She and her governmental imbeciles cannot share any information pertaining to a students financial aid until it's too late to do anything to change it or costs so damn much you can't do anything but declare bankruptcy or rely on the saving grace of family. Fortunately, I have a family who goes to church so often, there cup of grace runneth over (and drowndeth me).

Problem 2: I graduate just 30 hours after this semester. For those who don't know what that means, an hour refers to the time spent in a lecture environment each week for a given course. A typical course is a 3-hour (credit) course--meaning you spend three hours each in lecture for that given course. Taking this, I have only TEN classes to go until graduation. Why is this listed as a problem? Because I am ROYALLY freaked out. High school was horrid and I was happy to be over and done with it. But in the case of college...what do you do after college? You no longer have the guiding hand (and sometimes foot) of an educational entity acting in loco parentis. It's frightening, even though I know within two years, I'll be re-enrolled in a business program working on my MBA.

Problem 3: With an economy as soured as this one has become, can a man with a degree in finance find a job immediately after graduation? Especially since I am now focusing on San Antonio as my relocation city of choice.

Problem 4: WHY is Futurama shown so infrequently on Comedy Central? It is easily the best show they have on their slate. I'm tired of having to stay up until midnight, just to get my fix of the greatest animated sitcom in television history. (And, no, that's not blasphemy. Everyone knows The Simpsons is an excellent show, but I still like Futurama better.)

Problem 5: My grasp on the academic use of the English language has been slipping lately. That's a terrifying thing for one who's strength used to be his ability to put into words what others could barely sort out within the confines of their own minds. I believe that all of us can choose to write well, but that many of us choose to write no more clearly than we think. Perhaps, the release of this apprehension to writing can come with a bit of meditation and mental clarification?

Writer's Block: Morning Decisions

The eternal breakfast dilemma: Sweet or savory?

View 500 Answers

Why choose? This is why gay men are so happy. We spend so much time readying ourselves to dine in the morning that we have to wait until brunch. Where sweet and savory coexist happily in the presence of mimosas.

No pain no gain...?

So...weight lifting hurts when you first get started. I feel nauseated from the intense increase in activity. I'm thirsty all the time. I can barely move my arms (you try masturbating after a weight routine!) This sucks!

And then I wake up the next morning and there's been some firming of my biceps and triceps. The pain is replaced by a really sexy feeling of soreness. And not to mention the libido that is through the roof!

Maybe I'll keep this up for awhile and see if I don't really like where I end up.

Long time coming

So...it's been since October that I've posted (or logged in for that matter). I'll run through the last few months events to catch up the two people that read this.

November: BORING as F! but I did lose about ten pounds. Spent WAY too much time in Arkansas with my mother and my aunt.

December: Continued the weight loss (21 pounds additional that month). Spent EVEN MORE time in Arkansas, though not as boring this time since I was busier at least. Fell in lust...he knows who he is...we'll see how that works out.

Uhh...the computer. Hello?! With our PCs, we've found a way to watch our favorite television and movie programming, isolate ourselves from reality by creating virtual worlds that are far superior, and communicate with "people" far and wide. What more could we need?

Like you have to ask! Will and Grace!! They didn't need to be involved romantically to share a great connection with one another. Plus, if I had the chance to be an interior designer with Will's wardrobe in my closet...CHING! Happy times are here again!

P.S. Does anyone else notice that the "bouncy" mood cat is riding an invisible sex toy?

A New Leaf

I've always been fascinated by magic. The idea of having power and having actual control over my life...what's not to desire? In embracing this path (again), I've joyously rediscovered a website, long since taken down, in the arches of the web. SpiritOnline.com provided the best outline for learning about Wicca, and learning about yourself in the process, that I had ever seen. Not to mention page upon page of correspondences, deities, sabbats, and recipes. Without question, finding this page is a sign to me that I need to pursue this study further. I only hope to bring more good news to these pages as I learn and grow.

Blessed be!

Shorty

Just a snippet from a particularly insightful conversation with my favorite therapist.

Arrogance is not something I tolerate well. Apparently being "gifted" with a penis endows the majority of men to believe they have some divine purpose.
